Note the knife buttons: The flashlight for the best budget folding knife was given to the CJRB Mini Feldspar.

The best value for jack knives has been the CRKT Drifter in G10 for years. Its sleek design stretched the manufacturer’s pennies as far as possible. It has been a major recommendation for anyone looking to buy a cheap folder for years.

It’s still a good knife. But it’s no longer the best value on the planet. This honor now goes to the CJRB mini feldspar.

CJRB Mini Feldspar: Folding Knife Rating

CJRB is the budget brand for Artisan Cutlery. It has taken a very aggressive approach to this market, with valuable designs and even paperback-friendly powder steel (first found on the ria). Even beneath this impressive show is that CJRB mini feldspar stands out.

Great design & experience

There’s little to complain about with that Mini feldspar (The big one is the same knife with a 3.5 inch blade). The handle is made from G10 (available in many different colors) and is beautifully shaped to fit snugly in your hand.

It also has a fully nested liner that minimizes the thickness of the knife. The pivot point feels snappy and the thumb studs are catchy.

Even the pocket clip is a good, deep design with no unnecessary frills. The star of the knife, however, is the clean, excellent drop-point blade in D2.

The cut is exceptionally good for a knife of this price. And the blade shaft is thin enough to make the mini feldspar a champion slicer.

I usually talk about cons, but there aren’t any here. Sure, you can do better than the D2 – but honestly, it’s fine for almost anything.

If this knife cost twice as much it would still be decent value. At $ 35, it’s amazing.

As a first folder, workshop beater or just a large EDC, the mini feldspar is a breathtaking knife.
