Gerber launched the Gerber Reserve Program this month. It offers consumers a range of premium American-made products that are only available online.

When it comes to knives and tools, Gerber is a big player in the industry. But the brand also wants consumers to take this into account when going the more exclusive route. Gerber even started one in early 2020 Custom Shop to give knife fanatics more options for unique blades. Now the “exclusive” idea goes one step further. Enter Gerber reserve.

The brand is building this new line exclusively in Portland. It is made in small quantities and sold directly to consumers. It is characterized by high quality materials.

What does that mean? Let’s take a look at the first two products in the reserve program: Terracraft and Sedulo.

Gerber Reserve Terracraft

The Terracraft ($ 150), which launched in late October, is a full-size fixed-blade knife. Gerber developed it to “cope with all safety and survival situations that nature has in store for you”. With its full tang construction and an extra thick S30V blade, this knife should be misused while maintaining an edge.

The Terracraft is rounded off by ramp-shaped G-10 handle scales, a 90-degree fire edge and a high-quality leather sheath made in America.

Gerber Reserve Warning

The second product in the reserve program is this Attention, a new pocket knife for everyday enthusiasts.

The Sedulo was specially developed for knife connoisseurs and has a S30V steel blade with a smooth edge and full grinding, which makes this pocket folder a worthy daily driver. When not in use, the Sedulo slips out of sight with a deep pocket clip.

The Sedulo will be available as pre-order on November 12, 2020.

Each publication in the reserve program is a single product. Consumers can also customize them in the Gerber Custom Shop so that collectors and enthusiasts can leave their personal design on the product.

“The new products in the Gerber Reserve program feature American craftsmanship, quality materials and quality construction,” said Seth Jaramus, industrial design manager for Gerber. “These knives will blur the lines between use and the gentleman-collector looking for the best everyday option.”
