Say goodbye to your old chemical toilet – this much-needed small dry toilet is specially designed for owners of tiny houses and smaller delivery vans.
The rise of the dry toilet
Compost toilets, also known as dry toilets, are no longer an insider tip. Mobile living and off-grid living enthusiasts have long discovered them as an environmentally friendly plumbing option. Most composting toilets, however, are quite large. This is mainly a problem for owners of smaller vans (or boats or houses). Until now, they often had to rely on the more compact chemical toilets.
With the introduction of the MicroLoo model, Kildwick is expanding its range of dry toilets and offering those with limited space a smaller, leaner compost toilet model. The MicroLoo in particular is more than ideal for installation in one of the best-known favorites of the Vanlifers, the Volkswagen California T5 and T6.
Microloo – the small toilet
This odorless, eco-friendly source separation toilet is also a real eye-catcher in terms of its amazing hygiene and comfort features.
The clever use of high-quality neodymium magnets instead of lights is a world first. What are the strong magnets for? They hold the bowl and seat perfectly in place and make cleaning and maintenance straightforward and almost effortless. Speaking of which: this toilet can be emptied vertically, which is ideal when space is tight.
The slim, laser-cut body of the MicroLoo made of untreated birch plywood can carry up to 200 kg, the lid up to 100 kg.
The fully assembled MicroLoo measures 337 mm (H) x 337 mm (W) x 384 mm (D). The DIY package with body, separator, seat, a liquid bottle, a solid tank, glue, magnets and devices currently costs € 389.00.
Since its inception, the MicroLoo has improved the daily life of:
- Owners and Vanlifers of Volkswagen California T5 and T6
- Commercial vehicle drivers
- Hikers and outdoor adventurers
- Families with young children
The MicroLoo DIY package and additional accessories such as an overflow protection cover for the liquid collection bottle or the assembly set specially made for the California T5 and T6 transporters equipped with a kitchen unit are available here.
