Hiking trails help us stay happy and healthy. Nobody wants to stay inside all the time, so we need places to go outside and explore. You can get all your energy out on hiking trails, see cool plants, trees, and wildlife, and spend time with family and friends. It is important that we keep the trails beautiful so that everyone can enjoy them for years to come.

Hiking trails are an important resource, but unfortunately we are seeing increasing numbers of hiking trails that are being abused by trash and vandalism. American Trails has created a package to teach kids how to be great trail stewards so that the next generation of trail lovers can lead the way to better care for our trails.

Ideal for elementary school children, this pack will help teach the importance of trails, different types of trail users, and concepts like sharing trails. There are also pages where children can put what they have learned into practice using worksheets and a certificate of completion at the end.

If you are unable to print this package out at home, please contact [email protected] and they can send you a copy.
