Fenix makes a range of everyday flashlights that allow you to prioritize size, weight, light output and versatility. Whether you need a light for everyday use or just in case, there is a flashlight to prepare you.
Your smartphone flashlight can work for quick and tight demands, but nothing works like a dedicated flashlight. Fenix makes a line of pocket-sized flashlights that are made with sturdy housings and can shine hundreds of lumens into hard-to-see areas.
Amateur flashlight would like to point out that the earth is dark half the time and a “pocket sun” comes in handy. Even during the day, a flashlight can reveal dark areas such as a closet or closet, a server rack, or under the bed.
Like many EDC tools, a flashlight can prove its usefulness as soon as you start carrying it.

Flashlights as EDC
In short, EDC items are the ones that are likely to live on a dresser and what you reach for after putting on your pants in the morning. A ritual of preparation for the day. For most people, these items often include a wallet, keys, and a smartphone. From there, EDC lists often contain elements like a compact knife, multitool and / or flashlight.
Yes, flashlights are an integral part of the EDC landscape, and there are plenty of choices to suit different needs and preferences. With a sturdy, bright, dedicated flashlight, anyone working in low light – whether it be at dusk / dawn or in a dark room – can see what they’re doing and where they’re going. Sometimes the way from the car to the front door in bad weather may require additional lighting for safety reasons.
Of course, as with other EDC staples, putting together a great pocket dump with well-made products speaks volumes of both design appreciation and willingness. The desired functions of an EDC light include its performance and ease of use, such as switching it on and off with one movement and often with one hand.
And with flashlights, choosing weight is an important part of the equation based on your preferences and needs. Fenix makes lights for various uses and conditions. In the following we highlight the selection of flashlights for everyday use.
Fenix Pocket EDC torches
At 2 inches, the E-LITE is one of the smallest lights from Fenix and weighs only 18 g with the battery. It’s also rechargeable via USB-C. The forward-facing white light is paired with a sidelight that alternates between constant red, flashing red, and blue for fishing.
This clip-on light can be attached to a hat for hands-free light in tight spaces or in camp. It’s also small and light enough to clip on to backpacks for a quick light.
This keychain friendly light can deliver up to 260 lumens of light. It’s not even 2 inches long and charges via USB-C. It also has a red reading light for evening chores when you don’t want to ruin your night vision – or that of your companions.
The E12 is a more traditional pocket-sized flashlight that uses an AA battery to provide 160 lumens with a good beam of light. You can change the level of light by tapping the end of the tail or turning your head. In addition, the body clip can be worn in two positions or in different ways.
LD05 V2.0 CW
Penlights are traditionally slim so as not to overfill a pocket, and they can also be attached to a vest or belt. The LD05 uses two AAA batteries to provide 150 lumens for continued use throughout the night. The rear switch activates the beam and selects the brightness levels.
As a right-angled flashlight, the LD15R faces forward when you attach it to a backpack or vest. The rechargeable light has a maximum output of 500 lumens, has a red light mode and comes with a magnetic base for attachment to a car or a beam.
The rechargeable EDC E09R is only 3 inches long and less than 1 inch wide. It toggles between four brightness modes, including a moonlight mode for close-ups. It can last up to 70 hours in low-lumen mode or turned up to 600 lumens in burst mode and charged via USB-C.
The LD30 is the big boy in Fenix’s EDC range. At just over 4 inches, this light is a tiny package for the 1,600 lumens it can rotate over 200 yards. The LD30 has a strobe and SOS mode to top it off.
Outside the pocket
We’ve talked about bringing smaller flashlights for regular use or just in case, but these smaller and other Fenix-made lamps can be stowed in your car and at home as well. A reliable light in your glove box or console will help you see under the hood or around the car when you need to stop.
Likewise, these smaller EDC flashlights are cheap enough to stash one in a shed or basement so you know it’s always there.
