Patagonia’s popular synthetic jacket is now 40% cheaper at REI. The Micro Puff is one of the most advanced and popular puff jackets from Patagonia. And it’s on sale now.
With the security of synthetic insulation – A necessity in many humid climates – but the weight and feel of down the Micro Puff meets all criteria. Whether you’re going on a backpacking trip, climbing a peak, or need something to wear while walking around town, the Micro Puff is one of them our favorite synthetic jackets.
In contrast to the competition, Patagonia fills the Micro Puff with its own PlumaFill insulation made of strands, not individual fibers. This helps retain heat and eliminates the need for traditional baffles to hold them in place. It also holds heat well even when it’s wet.
The unique seams on the Micro Puff allow the insulation to move, let the heat flow and at the same time create fewer weak points (no more escaping feathers!).
