At a time when we all think of snow cones rather than snow-capped highways, kids across the country are naming state snowplow fleets in fun competitions.

The results are there. And they are great. Both Minnesota and Colorado are committed to inviting children to name their DOT’s new snow plows.

Don’t be surprised if you see Darth Blader or Snowbi Wan Kenobi in your rear view this coming winter. And when you come across “Ope, Just Gonna Plow Right Past Ya,” be sure to say “Sorry, sorry” a couple of times as you pull aside.

Really, kids just make life funnier, so why not? And if you’re in either Colorado or Minnesota, keep an eye out for those freshly milled plows when you hit the slopes as well on adventure.
