Subaru’s first EV model car will be available in 2022.

Japanese automaker Subaru has just announced its first EV model. the solterra. Or what the automaker calls “the next generation of Subaru SUV capabilities”.

The Subaru Solterra (a name that aptly means sun and earth) is built on the new e-Subaru Global Platform (100% electric).

“The Solterra EV brings the trusted reliability, the latest safety technology and legendary all-wheel drive technology of the Subaru brand to an environmentally conscious all-electric SUV,” Subaru wrote. Other than that, Subaru didn’t share many details.

Electric vehicles – a technology of the past and the future – are becoming increasingly popular as batteries get better and charging stations become more widely available.

Not to mention that they could lead to it Reduction of CO2 emissions through the introduction of renewable energies. Heck, even trucks and Caravan have started to get electric.

Next year, Subaru will like Solterra in the rank of EV SUV Tesla, Audi, Volvo, ford, and more.

The 2023 Subaru Solterra will go on sale in 2022. Driving range, top speed, price or release date have not yet been announced. However, you can get updates here.
