We have rounded up the most popular, popular and breaking news of 2020.

This year was a roller coaster ride. The global COVID-19 pandemic affected us all, but also the outdoor industry. The bikes were sold out everywhere, the races were canceled and the athletes got very creative when running into lockdown routines. We have come together to support one another, our healthcare workers, small businesses, climbing gyms, mountain communities, and more.

Over the past year, our staff has posted stories of public space crime, quarantine fitness, climbing during COVID, the coolest off-road campers and trailers, new gear and technology, and much more. Without further ado, here were our top stories of 2020:

The top 10 stories of 2020

Bowmar’s poaching case

Recap: An Ohio couple, Josh and Sarah Bowmar, were charged in November of, among other things, hunting without permission, baiting wildlife and illegally transporting game. Your case will be presented to a jury in 2021.

Why read: The couple are well known in the hunting community and their actions have resulted in numerous conversations about the ethics of hunting, how to hunt responsibly, whether or not they should be charged, and much more. Eco-Challenge Fiji teams

Recap: The hugely popular return of Eco-Challenge, a reality adventure racing series released on Amazon Prime this fall that took everyone (including us) by storm.
