Yes, the collaboration between The North Face and Gucci is a reality. And now it’s also an augmented reality.

The app that took the world by storm a few years ago has a simple premise: wander around different geotagged locations (in real life) and look for hidden Pokémon. The aim is to encourage children and users of all ages to use the app to explore the real world.

As Gucci wrote in its partnership announcement with The North Face: “This [is] A collaboration that celebrates the spirit of exploration. “Well, it seems, the next step is to nurture that exploration all in one Augmented Reality Monster Hunt.

The reactions to the collaboration have so far been mostly positive, but also skeptical and confused. So far we’ve found it strange but still great: it gets people talking and hopefully it gets people outside.

The north wall wrote online that the collection is inspired by some of the 70s designs, which is evident in the sun-kissed, free-spirited teaser video for a Creedence Clearwater song.

The key pieces in the collection include t-shirts, a puffy, a tent with a bold logo, a jumpsuit, a knee-length puff skirt, backpacks, gender-neutral Doc Martens boots and much more.

And now while you’re looking for Magicarp, Charmeleon, or Snorlax, your Pokémon personality can rock the latest – and perhaps most unique – fashion of the season.

While The North Face and Gucci teased the collection in December, you won’t find it online until January 22nd.
